Misha Kydd

I’m a book publishing professional who loves helping authors refine and develop their projects. I’ve held roles as an editorial assistant, editor, and production editor across both academic and trade publishing imprints, and am currently an in-house production editor for Penguin Young Readers, where I focus on YA fiction, graphic novels, middle grade, and picture books across genre. In addition, I love working on adult fiction/nonfiction, with a soft spot for fantasy, sci-fi, gaming/RPGs, romance, and projects with queer themes. Regardless of genre, I’m passionate about honoring authorial intention and respecting your unique voice while editing.

I’m a member of ACES: The Society for Editing, the Editorial Freelancers Association, the LGBTQ+ Editors Association, and the Professional Editors Network. When I’m not editing, I can be found hiking, creating questionable culinary experiments, and relaxing from a long day of reading with . . . er . . . more reading!
